Description

Tuplex is a premium quality acoustic underlay for use under floating floors.  Tuplex is a new generation underlay for hard flooring. It can be used underneath laminate floors as well as veneered and all engineered hardwood and coniferous floating floors. It is a versatile product that meets all the requirements associated with installing and using a hard floor. Tuplex is comprised of two layers of solid polyethylene with flexible polystyrene granules sandwiched between them.

• Certified to reduce impact noise by approximately 20dB.
• It has a moisture and vapour barrier and so can be used over concrete (with a moisture content of 5% or lower) without visqueen or builders plastic.
• Roll size is 1.1m wide by 30m long (33sqm).
• Suitable for use with underfloor heating.
• TOG 0.8
• Thermal Resistance 0.083 m2K/W

*TOG rating - best practice recommends that the entire structure (i.e. underlay and top layer) should not exceed a value of 1.50 TOG rating. Figures above are indicative and should only be used as a guideline.
